Last Saturday, June 9, was held the Eleventh International Concurse of Elegance, the best classic and vintage cars in an event positioned and consolidated between the international elite of the classic motor world and what it means.
The Royal Site of San Ildefonso host the event in a palatial environment surrounded by pure nature that offers the National Park of the Sierra de Guadarrama, declared by UNESCO, since 2013, a World Heritage Site as a Biosphere Reserve. The Plaza de España in the Palace premises, were been the main stage of the concourse.
Around a hundred classic elite vehicles were exhibited (Rolls Royce, Hispano Suiza, Maserati, Jaguar, Cadillac among others) the number of 72, which have been valued by a professional jury in the different categories: vintage cars (vehicles up to 1920), veterans (vehicles up to 1945), classics (vehicles until 1965), post-classics (vehicles until 1988) and supercar.
A 1908 Delaunay-Belleville has been the patriarch of the concourse to be the oldest vehicle, It has an six-cylinder, linearly-mounted engine with 5900 cc that yields 28 horse-power.
Note the presence of a part of Spanish history, with an spectacular example of Hispano-Suiza that shined between Rolls-Royce.
